AllY (Dare to be Digital 2014)
Ally is a local multi-player action platformer which was created in the Unity engine. Alliances and team mates are always changing. Players use stars in order to shut others down. As soon as a player has been shutdown they can be converted to your team.
As seen in Develop online (http://www.develop-online.net/interview/dare-blogs-unorthobox-s-classic-arcade-multiplayer/0196092) and Edge Magazine issue #272.
While working on Ally it was my goal to create maps which would inspire chaos amongst the players. The levels were designed to allow players to always be able to get the upper hand on their opponents. If the player was able to think clearly during the chaos they would be able to quickly change strategy and use the environment to gain the advantage.

Extract from Edge Article
"Offering a new twist on the singlescreen brawler, Ally complicates the fight by allowing you to forcibly recruit other players to your side. Each player starts with their own colour , and can hurl projectiles. If you hit someone, they'll be stunned for a short time. Jump on their head and they'll become your colour and have to fight alongside you. It's hectic, duplicitous stuff."

Industry Feedback
"It's got a fantastic art style and the animation is very well done"
"Unique and fun idea, great for all ages. Easily accessible while there are also opportunities for tactical play for more advanced players. Also has good level design that was well thought out and explained by designer."
"Great fun to play. Would make a great party game."
